Sultana Group's story

The Sultana Group consists of four ladies from Sana`a, Yemen. Each member has her own type of business. They have requested a group loan of 250,000 Yemeni rials (YER) and they will hold each other accountable for the loan repayment. Sultana is a 47-year-old mother of four children. She has been selling ladies' clothes and perfumes. The income from this business was not enough to cover her children's school fees and other important household expenses. She would like to expand her business in order to meet her clients' needs. So she is asking for a loan of 70,000 YER from AMB in order to buy clothes, perfumes, incense and other items that will be used to earn more profit. Her dream is to one day diversify her business.
