A loan of $350 helped to purchase stock of green vegetables, fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and onions.

Saumu's story

Saumu is a married woman with two children, both of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

For over five years, she has operated a fruit and vegetable stall business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. She dreams of establishing a grocery store in the future.

With the 30,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase stock of green vegetables, fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
