Hawa's story

Meet 47-year-old Hawa from Magburaka, Makeni Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with 5 children. In 2005, Hawa established her retail business. She was a house wife; she began her business because she was motivated by her colleague to run a business. She works at the business 15 hours per day, 6 days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation and proper business location.

Hawa requires a loan in order to purchase cigarettes, drinks and soap to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to pay her children's school fees and increase her business. In the future, Hawa plans to expand her business beyond expectation. She thanks you for your support.
