A loan of $125 helped to purchase rice, pepper, salt, and other such items to offer for sale.

Lorina's story

Lorina, age 27, runs a food stall business where she sells such food items as rice, pepper, and salt. She has operated her business for four years. She lives with her husband and their four children in Seclapea City in Nimba County, an area which is rich in natural resources and where living conditions are much better than in the capital city.

Lorina did not have the opportunity to go to school and has lived all her life in a rural area. Her children are between the ages of 11 months and 10 years old. Her three older children are all enrolled in school.

She spends nine hours a day at her business. The primary problem she faces is the small income she earns.

Lorina is requesting a loan to purchase in order to purchase more rice, pepper, salt, and other such items for her business. Her plan is one day to build a house for her family.
