Serah's story

Serah is a 51-year-old married woman. She has four children with ages ranging from 12 to 21 years. She describes herself to be industrious. She operates a retail business where she sells second hand goods like furniture, electronics etc. She has been involved in this business for 15 years. Her business is located in a place with much potential and her primary customers are regular customers. She describes her biggest business challenge to be the slow movement of goods. She will use the KES 20,000 loan to add to her stock of furniture, electronics and other second hand goods for resale. Her business goal is to open a new store within five years. She hopes that in the future, she will sustain her business and family. This is her first loan with SMEP DTM.
