Kadie's story

Meet 36-year-old Kadie from Masuba, Makeni Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with four children. In 2003, Kadie established her retail business. She was a housewife; she began her business because she wants to contribute in taking care of her children. She works at the business from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., six days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation and transportation problems.

Kadie requires a loan in order to purchase cigarettes, drinks, and soap to expand her business for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her status of living and increase her business. In the future, Kadie plans to open a big provisions store. She thanks you for your support.
