A loan of $500 helped to finish harvesting the last crops and to make a small repair in the infrastructure of the roof in his house.

Félix Alberto's story

Félix is a 33 year old man. He went to school through the 9th grade. The reason why he couldn't keep going to school is because at that time there was no high school in that town. That was when he started to work in farming with his father. After time he worked with a friend of his father's who had an auto-mechanic's workshop. He started to discover his ability in the area of bodywork and painting. He acquired experience and since then he started to work in that shop as a painter.

He has a family which is made up of his wife, who is a housewife, and three children, two girls and a boy. Two of them are in school, a 13 year old girl in 7th grade, and a 10 year old boy in 4th grade.

He has worked as a painter in the shop for 11 years. He works Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The money will be used to finish harvesting the last crops and to make a small repair on the roof of his house. In this way he will secure his crops in his house and be able to offer a more comfortable place to his family.

Felix plans for his and his children's futures are to work hard to give them an education until they can graduate from college. He is also planning on going off on his own and having his own bodywork and paint shop so that he can earn more income and be able to fulfill the household needs more comfortably.
