A loan of $1,450 helped to buy supplies.

Brenda Elidenia's story

Brenda is a hardworking young lady full of optimism. She and her husband work arduously to provide a better future, wellbeing, and quality of life for their three children. At age 29, she has a high school education with a diploma in management. Her children are in different grades of elementary school in the local community, but the youngest is preschool. The family source of income is coffee, which has been practiced for generations by her husband’s family. They are the only ones in the family who do the work such as applying fertilizer, planting, trimming, harvesting, and other things. She has three years’ experience and this is her second harvest.

Her plans for the future are to provide her children with the opportunity to attend school and send them to the rural zone where there are more opportunities for them to select careers at the university. Her goals are to be able to build a setup on her patio where she can wash and dry the coffee once it’s been cut.

She is asking for this loan through the COMIXMUL cooperative to buy farming supplies that will help protect and care for her main crop.
