A loan of $475 helped to pay for a semester's tuition.

Juan David's story

Juan David has had an illness since he was 10 years old. He lives with his mother and three siblings who are minors. He is enthusiastic and active. He likes to ask when something isn't clear to him. He likes soccer. He isn’t a confrontational person and he is serious about things. He is studying to be a Nursing Assistant because he likes helping people and thanks to his illness he is familiar with the subject and the hardships of having an illness. Since childhood he has always liked nursing. He helped his grandfather with his medications and helped him to inject insulin. Since that time he felt that nursing was for him. He isn’t afraid of things. He likes being told about his mistakes so that he can improve more with each day. He likes to go to work and he is very attentive to what he is told. His mother pays for his semesters but he needs this help so that the cost of the semester isn’t so expensive and so that it will be a little bit easier for his mother to pay while he gets an apprenticeship in order to be able to pay the school costs of his siblings as well. The goal is to continue with his studies and be head of nursing and to be able to help those who need it.
