A loan of $1,000 helped to buy 4 cattle.

Reyna Isabel's story

Reyna is 54 years old. Due to her parents' financial circumstances she was only able to go to school as far as the fifth grade, after which she had to help her mother with the household chores and her father with agriculture, which was the family's source of income. Her husband works in agriculture and raising cattle. Her 5 children are all adults, have spouses and have built their own houses on their property, and work with her husband in agriculture. She works raising animals such as chickens, pigs and cattle, and also helping her husband. Her mother taught her to work and to raise what she needs for her family, and she also helped her mother with agriculture. Later, when she married, she did not find the work difficult because her husband worked in agriculture. The loan proceeds will be used to buy 4 cattle. She hopes to continue working and supporting her husband as much as she can, by raising animals that she buys.
