A loan helped a member to buy guinea pigs and feed for her business.

Los Girasoles De Compone Group's story

Norma is a member of the communal bank Los Girasoles de Compone (The Sunflowers of Compone). This group is located in the Anta district, in the Anta province, department of Cusco.

Norma is common law married. She’s 24 years old and has a son. She alternates her daily activities with raising small animals like guinea pigs and chickens. She’s been in this business for some time, and it’s going well thanks to the work she puts in every day. She raises these animals for later resale to clients who order them. She’d like to be able to continue this work to support her family.

She’s asking for a loan to buy guinea pigs and feed for her business.

The other members work selling cattle, selling milk, raising small animals, raising livestock, selling dairy products, farming and doing construction work. The people in the photo who have their faces covered aren’t in the communal bank. The photo was taken of the bank split into two groups along with some other individuals. Hopefully the next photo will be taken of one group.

Norma thanks all those who share in her dream through this means and commits to make her installment payments according to the established timeframe.

In this group: Julia, Ernestina, Evarista, Emperatriz, Tania Nelida, Karinow, Francisca, Modesta, Edith, Ana Maria, Juan, Grimaneza, Rosmery, Marivel, Norma
