A loan of $1,050 helped a member to rent a machine to level the field preparing for the next harvest.

Na Sang 2 Group's story

Tam is a single mom of Lao minority. She divorced from her husband 3 years ago and brought up her child on her own since the child was 2 years old. To earn a living, Tam works hard with plenty of agricultural activities such as cultivating rice, vegetables and cereal, breeding chickens, pigs and buffalo.

This is her first loan in Anh Chi Em Program and Tam hopes this loan can help her resolve partially the difficulty of lacking capital. She would use the loan to rent a machine for leveling the field in order to prepare for the next harvest.

Tam dreams her child will eventually attend college as she was only able to complete secondary school because financial issues made it impossible for her to continue. In the picture, Tam is standing first from the right.
