Gregorio's story

Gregorio is 66 years old. He lives with his wife and children in the village of San Luis, a rural area in the district of Santo Tomás, where the people work in agriculture and commerce. It is a community known for its rugged terrain and beautiful green landscapes, located some two hours from the district, it belongs to the province of Cultervo located in the Cajamarca region, in the northern highlands of Perú.

He works in agriculture, growing coffee and has planted approximately two hectares of a variety of Catimor coffee plants. He has been engaged in this activity for ten years and so he has a lot of experience. He is asking for a loan of 3,000 nuevos soles so he can maintain his crops by buying fertilizer and to provide payment for workers so that he can have a favorable harvest to offer at a good price to his customers, generating more income for the family.
