Syeda Sarwat Parveen's Group's story

Sayeda Sarwat Parveen baji, the wife of S. K. A., has lived for the last 18 years in an area of Lahore, Pakistan called Ismail Nagar. Preferring to do household work and take care of her family, she is the mother of four sons, two in 10th standard, one in 7th standard and the youngest in 4th standard. Her husband has run a small hotel with an eatery in the community for the past four years.

Sayeda baji is now requesting a loan to buy cooking materials (lentils, cooking oil, spices) for her husband's food business. She is joined in her loan group by two other members: Shahnaz baji wants a loan to buy beams and rope for her shuttering business, while Shazia baji wishes to purchase seasonal fruits to resell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible
