A loan of $3,750 helped a member to purchase peanuts and local coffee.

Dima's Group's story

This group is composed of 23 women. They live in the same village, and their main work involves livestock farming and small-scale commerce. Fama is the group's representative. She is 46 years old, married, and the mother of two girls and a boy. She has a small business and good experience of over three years in this domain. She is standing at the right in the photo with her hand raised. She buys sugar, dried peanuts, and pouches of water that she resells along the nation's main road where she has a spot for her little table. Fama envisions using this loan to purchase 3 sacks of peanuts, 10 kg of coffee, some sugar, and pouches of water. Thus, she hopes to bring in a lot of revenues from the sales. Her business is going well. With the profits, she plans on bolstering her savings in order to benefit from a larger loan and also to be financially autonomous.
