A loan of $1,075 helped to enlarge his shop and expand his stock.

Mohammad Karim's story

M. Karim is married and has the sole responsibility for his family’s financial wellbeing. He started his footwear business six years ago after leaving the military, and now wishes to expand it in order to become more profitable. He therefore is requesting a loan in order to enlarge his shop and expand his stock.

He is happy with this process whereby small loans to people in poor countries are possible. Karim is sure that these loans can change the lives of many people and hopes to continue his partnership with Kiva and AFSG in Kabul so that eventually he can have one or two more shops.

He would like to thank the Kiva lenders who make this possible.
