A loan helped to buy fresh, seasonal vegetables to sell in their shop.

Tahmina's story

Tahmina is 28, a mother of four children, living with her spouse and children in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband is a green grocer by trade, and he has sold fresh vegetables in his shop in a nearby town for many years. Her husband offers seasonal, fresh vegetables to his customers. He has been feeding his family through the income generated from this vegetable shop.

Nowadays, the needs of his family have suddenly increased and he does not have other sources of income to cope with these needs. So he decided to expand his current business. He wants to increase his stock on a daily basis so that he can maximize sales out of the vegetables.

Therefore, Tahmina requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband can buy more seasonal vegetables. Tahmina thanks Kiva and field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
