Mariam's story

This young and cheerful lady named Mariam is 24 years old and lives in the village of Lchashen in the Gegharkunik region. She is married and has a new born son. She has a higher education and a specialty of translator, but she does not work now. Her husband works at the business center as a manager. Despite being young and unskilled they are both engaged in farming. In their farm they have cows, piglets and sheep. They also cultivate potato which they sell by the help of resellers. This young couple greatly wants to become engaged in swine breeding. For this occupation Mariam asks a loan of 1,100,000 Armenian drams (AMD) to buy piglets.
