Ahla Joma`a Group's story

Ahla Joma`a is a group of four women from Sana`a, Yemen. They are hardworking women. They have requested a group loan, and they will hold each other accountable for loan repayment. Eyman, who is 28 years old, is the leader of the group. She is a resourceful and honest woman. She lives with her family in a small house in Sana`a. She is a house wife whose main hardship is the lack of money. She said that her husband's income is not enough to cover household expenses. Eyman's family is currently in need of a new refrigerator, so she applied for a loan of 50,000 Yemeni rial (YER) to buy refrigerator for personal use. She hopes that she will be able to improve her family's conditions.
