Abdulai's story

Abdulai is 40 years old and married with two children. He runs a local food stuff store in Waterloo, the eastern rural area of Freetown. He has been in this business for 10 years and sells gari, palm oil, beans and pepper. His business is the only source of income he has. He says that the main challenge to his business is poor road network. Abdulai requested this loan through BRAC to buy more local food stuff like gari, palm oil, beans and pepper for resale. He says that the extra income from this loan will help him to take care of his family's welfare and increase his business. In the future, he would like to expand his business more than ever.
