Osman's story

Osman is 23 years old and married with one child aged two. He runs a local food stuff store in Waterloo, the eastern rural area of Freetown. He did not further his education because he thinks business is the best for him.

He has been in this business for five years and sells gari, palm oil, beans and pepper. His business is the only source of income he has. He says that the main challenge to his business is insufficient capital to expand his business.

Osman requested this loan through BRAC to buy more local food stuffs like gari, palm oil, beans and pepper for resale. He says that the extra income from this loan will help him to take care of his family welfare and increase his business. In the future, he would like to expand his business more than ever.
