A loan of $1,200 helped to buy household use items to sell in the retail shop.

Ephraim's story

Ephraim is a business man operating a retail shop in Kizinda in Ishaka. He started the business in 2007 and has seen it grow from one step to another.

Ephraim works 6 days a week and works for ten hours daily. He also owns a banana plantation which earns him some money which he uses as additional income to cater to the needs of the children. His clients are the dwellers of the same area where his business is located.

His objective in starting the business was to get money to support his family and he hopes that if the loan of 3,000,000 UGX (three million shillings) is given, he will restock the shop, get enough money, put up a good home and support his family. Ephraim also believes that his children will get better educations since he will get enough money from the business.
