A loan of $400 helped to purchase CD’s, DVD’s, Play Station 2, memory cards, tennis shoes, “mangas para el sol”, and other products.

Lenin Martin's story

Lennin is from the city of Boaco. He is 45 years old, married, and has one son. He is a businessman by trade, engaged in the sale of various products (CD’s, DVD’s, clothing, tennis shoes, controls, etc.) He started his business several years ago, selling his products on credit until he developed a line of all types of products for sale on credit. Today, his business is profitable and prosperous. His next goal is to purchase a van in order to sell his products in all areas of the city as well as in other cities. He is requesting the loan to purchase CD’s, DVD’s, Play Station 2, memory cards, tennis shoes, “mangas para el sol” [sleeves worn over the arms to protect the skin from the sun], and other products with the purpose of increasing his sales inventory. He feels that the loan will be very helpful because it will enable him to fill customer orders and, in this way, increase his sales. His future plan is to continue buying more goods, work harder, and sell more merchandise.
