A loan of $600 helped to buy fertilizers, urea, manure, and also feed for the animals.

Maria Bibiana's story

Maria is 26 years old, in a common-law marriage, and has three children. She lives with her husband and children in the community of Desvió de los Amarillo, part of the canton of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos.

She belongs to the “Pequeños Agricultores” communal bank, which is located in the community of Desvió de los Amarillos, part of the canton of Ventanas. The bank is dedicated to agriculture and livestock farming.

Maria works in agriculture, sowing corn and raising farm animals such as chickens and turkeys. With this loan, she will be able to buy supplies such as fertilizers, urea, manure, and also feed for the animals. She buys her supplies on Saturdays in the market of the city of Ventanas.

She is facing challenges such as the lack of water because there is no irrigation. Her dream is to have money to continue with her work and to have a healthy life.
