A loan of $2,550 helped to buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers.

Avaz's story

Avaz is a 41-year-old man and an internally displaced person (IDP) who lives in an IDP Settlement with his wife and five children. He is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last eight years. During these years, Avaz gained enough skills and experience to run the business.

He chose this crop business because it is profitable, and fresh fruits and vegetables are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes like pilau and dolma are made of vegetables. Fresh fruits are served on every table of Azerbaijan families, and they also make fresh punch.

He usually sells his crop in the central bazaar. His monthly income is 270 AZN. As these products are in high demand, Avaz wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose, he applied for 2,000 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This is going to be his third loan.
