A loan of $525 helped purchase raw materials to make baked goods, and purchase cosmetic products to sell.

Lucía Adelaida's story

Mrs. Lucia has sold baked goods and cosmetic products for three years. She started the business with her own capital, and has continued moving forward little by little. She has had difficult times as a result of the high cost of living, but has not lost hope and continues running her business. Mrs. Lucia will use the loan to purchase raw goods from which she will make her baked goods. She will also use the loan to purchase cosmetic products, and strengthen her business in this way. Lucia is 49 years old and lives in the Laureles North neighborhood. She has three children, ages 18, 24 and 30. Her husband works and has always been sensitive to the family's needs. In the long term, Lucia would like to move her business to a larger location and add a cafeteria, which will increase her profits. With the additional income she will support her 18 year old daughter, as she is the the only one currently living in the house because Lucia's other children are married.
