A loan of $3,000 helped to start up a food cafe.

Sanan's story

Sanan, 21 years old, lives in the Marneuli district with his wife and two infant children. Sanan’s wife earns a monthly income by selling cosmetics door-to-door among her community members. Sanan’s economic activity is his newly started tea-house in a rented commercial space.

As his earnings are not enough to cover utilities and food costs, Sanan has decided to diversify the business and remodel his tea-house into a café, where doner and khinkali (Georgian traditional food) will be sold. Doner (kebab/sandwich/gyro) has become a very popular fast food dish in the last several years in Georgia. According to Sanan’s estimation, sales will be high.

Sanan is requesting a loan to buy all the needed equipment such as a doner machine, oven, etc. He will also buy raw materials for making food. The income from the café will be a great support for the family as it will generate additional income. Sanan appreciates your kindness.
