Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,500 helped to buy more textiles for her sewing workshop.

Majida's story

Majida is a 55-year-old married woman from Bethlehem city. She is a mother of nine children; seven sons and two daughters. For the past two years, Majida has been working in a sewing workshop she owns. One of Majida's daughters works with her. This is the only source of income for the family. Majida would like to develop her business since she has an increasing demand for services, due to the high quality she produces.

Majida took a loan from FATEN. This loan will help her to buy more textiles for her sewing workshop. By taking this loan, Majida will be able to increase her productivity, and also her income.
