Alcides's story

Alcides is 36 years old, and he lives with his children and his wife in Caserío Piedra Grande, in the Pomahuaca district. His village works in farming, trade and livestock, situated two hours from the city of Jaén, which is part of the Cajamarca Region, in the northern highlands of Peru.

He has his own carpentry business, situated in his own home, where he works making doors, windows, chairs, and tables. He has many customers, due to the good work that he does. They also farm, growing staple food crops such as corn and yucca, which they eat.

He is asking for a loan of 1,500 nuevos soles to buy raw materials for his work, such as ornaments and wood, and thus serve his customers.
