A loan of $725 helped to buy a milking cow in order o increase milk production and thus increase income.

Bacilia's story

Bacilia along with a group of people from the same community decided to farm and raise animals; she raises dairy cattle to produce milk which she sells to one of the industrial milk plants in La Paz department. The first step she made was to not tether the cows nor keep them enclosed far from pasture where they like pasture now that each has a blankets to cover them from the cold, nor does she cut the horns so the calves have their naturally shaped horns, and they receive fresh and high quality food, thus keeping the cows in good health.

She lives in her own home located in the San Juan De Circa community in the Aroma province of La Paz department, two hours from La Paz city; she has various heads of cattle that required great care given the weather conditions of the area.

Bacilia's dream is to increase her heads of cattle and protect their good health. The loan she seeks now is to buy a milk cow to increase her milk production and improve her income and quality of life.

This is the first time she seeks a loan from IMPRO and the first time with KIVA.
