A loan of $500 helped to buy firewood, propane gas, corn, and lime powder.

Isabel's story

Isabel is the one who is responsible for the family expenses. She sells tortillas. She is single and lives with her daughter. She does not have help from abroad. She has had the business for 28 years. She tends to her business from 8:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m. She learned this trade from her mother. She has a lot of satisfied customers because of her product.

She will use the loan to buy firewood, propane gas, corn, and lime powder. These are the materials needed for her work and for her business to function. She hopes to have a more abundant production, to attract more customers, and to generate the income needed to continue covering the family expenses.

She hopes to include another buying option in her business. This way she will continue improving her family’s quality of life.
