A loan of $800 helped to buy supplies to plant rice.

Urbano Alberto's story

Urbano, 28, is single and lives alone in the Ventanas Canton in the province of Los Ríos. The communal bank he belongs to is called SAN NICOLAS and is located in the community of San Nicolás in the Ventanas Canton. The group works in agriculture of short-cycle crops such as corn and rice.

Urbano has been growing corn and rice for several years. He buys his supplies from Agroquímica Karlita in Ventanas and sells his goods at the local market.

The loan he is requesting is to buy fertilizer, urea and other products to plant corn and rice. The loan will help increase income for family use and for investment. His dream is to buy more cropland.

He enjoys soccer and spending time with relatives.
