A loan of $1,275 helped to buy clothing.

Rosa Estefania's story

The Nueva Esperanza [New Hope] Credit Group meets every two weeks in Picoaza parish in the city of Portoviejo. This area is known for being a commercial zone, for its San Pedro and San Pablo traditional festivals, and for the cheerfulness of its people. Rosa lives here. She is 42 and is married, and she and her husband have three kids. The older two are grown up and the youngest is six. Two of Rosa's kids live with her, and they are in college and elementary school. Her husband is a salesman. Rosa is a very good wife and she requests this loan for her husband's business. He is a mobile vendor selling clothing of various kinds. He works every day, moving around the streets of the city, and he has been in this line of work for more than 20 years. The loan will be used for Rosa's husband to buy clothing. She has been in the credit group for four cycles and she likes it because of the help she gets from the loans. Her dream is to see her children finish school.
