Dar Group's story

Lema, who is in her mid thirties, is married with two children, one of whom goes to school and the other one is still small. She has been running a business of a wholesale general store for seven years now. She works from 8am to 8pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be Lema's sixth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase the shop inventory and has paid back all her loans successfully. She used the profit to cover household expenses and to buy small items for the store. She will use this loan to buy items for the wholesale general store. She dreams of becoming an international business woman. Lema will share this loan with her loan group "Dar" - with three members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
