Doris's story

Doris K. is a 38-year-old woman who is divorced and has two children in school. Doris works very hard to provide food for herself and her children.

Doris has four years of experience selling goods, such as ladies' bags, shoes, materials and other footwear, in a market center at Obuasi, Ghana. She believes that, with her good human relations skills, and her proximity to the market area, the loan would help her to purchase the right quantity of goods demanded by her loyal customers. She says this would help her make more profit to expand her business and also finance her children's education.

Doris K. is a member of the Prince trust group. In this group, members assist one another to provide support in handling repayment. Her picture was taking when she was visited at her shop.
