Sanjar is a freshman in the Economics Program. This is his story:
Economics is one of the strongest programs at AUCA, and I sincerely want to study economic principles from around the world, and use them to help the economy in Kyrgyzstan grow. American University of Central Asia is a good place to do this, because students get to learn not only about economics, but also a variety of different subjects that help us to know all different parts of the world.

In high school I had the opportunity to take some subjects with teachers from the United States and other countries. I was always very impressed with their level of knowledge, and the things they taught us were very interesting. One of my teachers was Mr. Lustig, who also teaches at AUCA. He taught economics at our school, and I after I completed the course I decided that economics should be my profession.

I hope that I will be a good international economist, and that I will be able to make a contribution to the field of study. I am happy to be studying at AUCA, and I want to thank the university for giving me financial aid and such an opportunity to get the best education.
