For the past eleven years, Hannah A. has been trading in the local market of Obuasi in Ghana. She is a fifty year-old woman, married with three children who at school.

Hannah is busy trader who sells yams and fish on top of a table in the local market. She is, however, convinced that her business can grow better with increased capital. She therefore wants this loan to buy more tubers of yams and fresh fish to increase her stock. She hopes to use part of her proceeds to finance her children's education.

She belongs to the trust group called Dorcas Trust Group. In this group, members assist one another to provide support in handling the repayment.
