A loan of $5,200 helped a member to buy a sack of charcoal, buy dry food for the shop and water to resell.

Compressor Group's story

Nasra is in her late 30s and is married with two children who are still in school. She has been running several businesses. She has a food shop and also sells charcoal and drinking water. She has been in her business since 2008. She works from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every working day and is able to make a very good monthly profit.

This will be her eighth loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. With her previous loans, all of which were paid back successfully, Nasra used the funds to buy a sack of charcoal and two water storage tanks for storing water for sale, and to restock products for her shop. Nasra is doing great with her business and family. She is happy with Tujijenge products because they are so convenient. With this loan, Nasra will buy a sack of charcoal, dry food for the shop and water to resell. She dreams that one day will be able to build a house.

Nasra will share this loan with her loan group, Compressor, which totals 13 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
