A loan of $2,250 helped to buy cows.


Zarina's story

Zarina is 36 years old, married, and with her husband is raising five young children. The oldest is 12 years old, and the youngest is 3. Zarina has a higher education. She works as a teacher of Russian language and literature in a local school. Zarina is not only a professional colleague in her job, but she is also an extraordinary mother and a good hostess in her home. By character, she is a resilient, cheerful, and positive woman.

As an additional source of income for her family, Zarina raises livestock, having begun three years ago with a livestock purchase of 10,000 som KGS. Thanks to her hard work, Zarina currently has on her homestead: two dairy cows, two steers, and 20 sheep. Monthly income consists of 8,000 som (KGS).

With the aim of further developing her homestead, Zarina turned to the microfinance bank Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan to buy cows to expand her livestock count.

Zarina plans to invest income from the loan in further propagating her livestock count, and plans to save money for her children's further education.
