A loan of $350 helped to stock their small general store and make improvements so that it's more comfortable and attractive for their customers.

Mariela's story

Mariela is 36 years old and has 3 children, who are her motivation for working hard. Mariela and her husband, Wilson, would like to grow their business to help secure their children's future. For 3 years now, they have run a small grocery shop from their home. What they enjoy most about their business is the interaction with the customers and the exchange of ideas with people who know their business. The most difficult thing is not having a separate shop, which would be better suited for the comfort of their customers. Mariela works to cover household costs and the costs of educating their children. The money she is requesting will be used to grow the business, buy more products, and above all make improvements to the shop, so that one day they will have a proper mini market.
