A loan of $1,000 helped to buy supplies and quality potato seeds to plant.

Dilma Floricelda's story

Dilma, 22, is a young single mother with a minor child. She is a homemaker and farmer who, thanks to her parents, learned the technique of growing potatoes, corn and beans because it is a vocation in her family. Dilma has a full primary education which she was able to finish thanks to the moral and financial support of her parents who are the only ones involved in different farming activities.

She inherited the cropland from her parents and it is about 50 meters from her house. She walks there with her parents, whom she thanks for their unconditional effort and support every year. Her customers include the different people at the local market and dealers who visit the area to buy her products, helping to expand her business.

Her goals, dreams and plans are to give her son an excellent academic education so he will have better opportunities than she had in society. Through the profits she earns she hopes to pay back the loan so she can continue working with the COMIXMUL cooperative and continue increasing her crop business.

The loan she is requesting is to buy farm supplies and quality potato seeds to plant.
