Elar's story

Elar, 23, lives with his parents in the rural Huacapampa settlement, in a rural part of Cañarís. The residents here are engaged in farming, commerce and animal husbandry. This area is located 2 hours from Chiclayo, on the northern coast of Peru.

Elar is a farmer who cultivates coffee. He has 4 years of experience in this line of work. He is a young entrepreneur who is requesting a loan of 3,000 Peruvian soles to buy fertilizers to maintain his crops, and also to pay for workers at harvest time. In this way he will produce more coffee and have a good harvest, so that he can generate income to support his parents.
