Roxana Maribel's story

Roxana is 41 years old. She lives with her husband in the village of “Ochenta y Uno”, a rural area in the San Felipe district, which belongs to Jaén province in Peru’s northern highlands. The community is located along the Olmos Corral - Quemado highway, which has permitted development through trade of prepared foods and farming. Roxana has a store where she sells groceries, rice, soup, oil, sugar, milk, and other products. She is requesting a loan of 2, 000 nuevos soles to purchase groceries to stock her business and in this way, generate higher income for her family.
