Azucar y Canela communal bank comprise eight members, six women and two men, who do a variety of work. Guadalupe, 41, is the group's president and has two children. She makes and sells chocolates of different types as a street vendor, going to offices, fairs, and markets to sell her merchandise. This is her first loan cycle with the institution. She will use the loan to buy molds to make chocolate designs. Guadalupe will use her profits to buy more supplies, since this is a great selling season, and she will be able to earn more money. She is pleased with and thankful for the opportunity the funding represents.
