A loan of $875 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Anastacia's story

Anastacia and a group of people from her community decided to take care of the land and the animals. She makes a living raising cows to produce milk, which she sells to one of the industrial milk plants in the department of La Paz. Her first step was to let the cows go free and not keep them enclosed far from the pastures where they like to graze. Nor does she cut their horns, so they'll have their calves naturally, the nutrition they provide will be fresh and high quality, and they'll be healthy.

Anastacia lives in her parents' house in the community of Pallina Chico in the Viacha area of the province of Ingavi in the department of La Paz, an hour from the city of La Paz. She has several heads of Creole cattle that require better care, given the weather conditions in the area. She'll use the loan to buy a good breed of dairy cow to get a better quality of milk.

Anastacia's dream is to have more cattle and ensure their good health. This way she can improve her income and quality of life.

This is the first time she has requested a loan from IMPRO and from Kiva.
