A loan of $1,150 helped a member to buy two superior piglets and quality feed.

Tegal Sari Group's story

The Tegal Sari group receives their new loan. After evaluation by the FO (field officer), they receive the same loan amount. When it was disbursed, one member was unable to attend because she had a religious ceremony in her temple. Ni Ketut, as the head, personally feels the benefits from the pig breeder program. Running the eight loans, the profit received helped her get income to fullfill her daily needs, school fees, and also savings. Although she still need the loan, she and the members of Tegal Sari group keep their spirits to maintain the businesses. She will use this loan to purchase two superior piglets and feed. As per her plan last period, she will also buy a sow using her own money, with support from her husband. She wants to sell piglets. The Tegal Sari group hopes the cooperation between MUK, Kiva, lenders and the group will run smoothly and can support them until they have enough savings to use the capital to run the businesses by themselves.
