A loan of $500 helped to buy rice seeds, fuel, fertilizers and pesticides.

Say's story

This is the second time Mrs Say S. asks for a loan to improve her living conditions and business activity. She and her husband, Mr Morn Meth, are farmers in Angk village in Kandal Province. In their plantation, they have an obstacle because they do not have enough money to cultivate rice. In order to deal with this, Mrs Say S. is asking for a loan to buy rice seeds to grow rice. She would use the rest of the loan to buy fuel, fertilizers and pesticides.

Mrs Say S. is 35 years old and the mother of six children, two of whom are employed in a garment factory while another one is farmer. Two others are attending school while the youngest is too young to work or study because that child is only five.
