A loan of $3,150 helped a member to buy perfume wholesale.

Esquilancito Group's story

Esquilancito Communal Bank is made up of eight members, seven women and one man who work in a variety of jobs.

The president of the bank is Yovana, 31. She has three children and makes a living selling perfume via catalogue. She sells her products on foot, visiting different offices and street fairs in the city of Cochabamba.

This is Yovana's first loan sequence with the institution. She's going to use it to buy merchandise wholesale, such as perfume, for the end-of-the-year season.

Yovana's going to use her profits to continue buying a variety of products because this is the season for good sales and she generates good income. She's happy about and grateful for the opportunity offered through this loan.
