Nuevo Bankito La Ramada (Nabón) Group's story

The Nuevo Bankito la Ramada loan group is made up of 13 ladies who maintain their people’s culture and traditions and work as farmers and raise livestock. Many of them work in the city and always with the goal of improving their financial situation. They live in Nabon, which is a settlement with a cold climate, surrounded by lots of vegetation in a staggered landscape. It’s architecture is a mix of modern and antique. Flavia is one of the members and she has been with the Nuevo Bankito la Ramada group for three years and the loans have helped her grow her business during all this time. Flavia is 34 years old and the single mother of a set of two year old twins. She owns her home. Flavia does traditional work in her area, which she learned from her parents. She raises chickens, Guinea pigs, pigs, and also farms. She sells her harvests in the community and in the city and enjoys working in this business that allows her to stay home and care for her little children. She will use the money from this loan to buy compost, seeds, and feed for her animals. Her goal is to grow her business more.
