A loan of $650 helped to buy agricultural inputs to tend to and maintain her coffee crops.

Cruz's story

Cruz is a woman with a lot of strength, energy and hopes of getting ahead and completing her life's purpose. At 53 years of age, she expresses gratitude and respect for her parents for having instilled in her values and principles, which are the base of excelling and prospering in life.

She is married and is mother to 4 children, who support their parents in various activities in the field, such as cleaning, application of compost, harvesting the beans, etc. For more than 17 years, she has been working in agriculture with her husband, to whom she is grateful for the unconditional support during their many years together as a work team and in their marriage.

Her crops are located in the same community to which they walk approximately half a kilometer.

Cruz does not have any education, which is why she now takes great pains and works hard every day so that her family can have more opportunities in life and to increase the family inheritance.

She has as her goal to undertake a small-scale remodeling of her house, which needs some improvements, and to support her family in everything they need and that she can provide. That is why she is now applying for a loan with which she will improve her crops, giving them better attention by applying agricultural inputs such as compost, fertilizer, coffee formula, fungicides, etc., that will avoid contamination by insects and sicknesses.
